AdriAdapt knowledge platform
Supporting cities in the Adriatic region to be at the forefront of local climate action

The AdriAdapt Platform is a product of “Adriadapt – a Resilience information platform for Adriatic cities and towns”, financed by INTERREG CBC Italy-Croatia, which aimed at supporting local and regional resilience by developing a knowledge base.
The Platform supports technicians and local policy makers in identifying suitable climate adaptation options, and managing the planning and the implementation of local adaptation. It is built around a guidance document that articulates planning processes in steps and provides simple descriptions and links for further information for each of the steps to perform for adaptation planning and implementation. In addition, the Platform collects information on possible action which is specific for the Adriatic region and its climatic conditions and contains a summary of the high-resolution datasets and projections for future climate data developed during the project, providing detailed and reliable information on climate-related impacts in the regions. Information for the Platform and climate data have been co-created and tested by local project partners in selected Italian and Croatian pilot sites, when developing local adaptation and resilience plans and actions.
The Platform has been realized in three languages – English, Croatian and Italian – to better target also smaller local administrations and overcome language barriers towards information. It is promoted by two short videos aiming at raising awareness about the need for adaptation among smaller local authorities in Croatia and Italy and introducing the Platform’s main tool: the policy guidance instrument. The two videos have been published on the Project’s YouTube channel and are available in Italian and Croatian; both also with English subtitles. A project video summarizes the experiences the local partners of the Adriadapt Project made with their adaptation activities during the project.
