Art and science against the climate and ecological crisis

ClimArte is both a virtual and on-site art exhibition on climate change and the climate and ecological crisis. We launched a call for proposals at the end of January ’21, the aim was to involve citizens and students of Friuli Venezia Giulia region but also to reach beyond regional borders. We wanted to see how the emergency was perceived by artists and use this combination of languages to address more people and help spread the message. The online exhibition was published on https://www.artsteps.com/view/60d395576db63138c444d891 and the on-site one is ongoing (10.07 – 31.07) in Via Renato Del Din 7, Tolmezzo (UD), thank to the collaboration with the local Municipality. The artistic works include paitings, sculptures, photographs, poetry and also a song. A member of our group who is herself an artists took care of the retrieval and staging of the artistic works; a group of us worked as well on the virtual tour online.
