Nobody can do without water. Wasting this basic commodity is really a very serious damage for the whole of humanity… We should not squander even a drop of this precious element, because water rapresents the source of life itself: vital for survival as well as vehicle of memories and ancestral narratives: springs, fountains, streams, lakes, deluges, chasms, swells, glaciers. Today it is indeed water that witnesses the harmful effects of climatic change: freshwater ecosystems are the most threatened on our planet! In this work the artist Maria Amalia Cangiano recreates a game of drops, acconpanied by relaxing sounds, a music cadenced by every single drop dripping down… the tiny microparticle of the whole. Drops reflected in other drops recall a circular communication, exactly like the circle of water, silent but at the same time intense and intimate. As a conscious human being, the visitor is involved and invited to take part in the action, turning on a tiny light and offering it to water, as if it were a supreme divinity above us. A meaningful gesture in honour to the mistery of life, but also to remember the people who suffer or will suffer for its lacking.
