The podcasts series aims to help the better understanding of carbon markets

Pact Capital serves companies in the compliance and voluntary carbon markets for many years. Through our conversations with clients we realized that for those people who are not involved in the carbon markets on a daily basis, it is very difficult to understand what the purpose of these markets are and how they work in practice. They have heard some words, but they do not understand or even confuse their meanings. As we are convinced that carbon markets can be an effective tool to mitigate emissions in the economy, our mission is to educate the public about these markets.
In the podcast series we explain the difference between compliance and voluntary carbon markets in a language that can be understood by everyone. Our episodes are rather short and to the point, in order to provide a clear picture of the markets. Beside informing those companies with a compliance obligation in the European emissions trading system about the most recent and relevant legal changes, tasks and data, we also dedicate separate episodes to innovations that can reduce emissions in heavily polluting sectors on the long run. Our aim is also to bring some positive examples, from companies that have set a net zero or climate neutrality goal and show the tools they have selected to reach their targets.
