The Environment Through Your Eyes project arose as a result of lack of visual effects of climate change and environmental pollution in Nigeria. The overall aim of the project is to stir a sense of responsibility and accountability in citizens of Nigeria, as well as highlights that effects of climate change are not abstract or only being felt in foreign countries. The scale of the climate crisis is unlike anything we have seen before, and in turn, extremely difficult for individuals to comprehend. Clean Technology Hub provided the platform and opportunity for participants to upload their photographs telling the story of the effect of the climate crisis and human activities in their communities. This project served as an important reminder that climate change is an immediate and severe challenge for communities on the frontline of a global crisis. The images capture the urgency and poignancy of the situation, one that may require an immediate response from the international community.
